Bayshore Resort, Put-in-Bay Ohio: A complete hotel review

Bayshore Resort, in Put-in-Bay (Ohio), is a relaxing and laidback place for you to stay on South Bass Island. Put in Bay can be a great destination to visit with friends, families, and couples. However, there are times when it can feel like a party. Bayshore Resort is one of many accommodation options in Put in Bay. “grown-up”The other townspeople in town are not as good.

It is important to choose a property that is in line with the type of trip you are planning. You’re looking for an affordable option? There are several camping sites on the island. How about a swimming up bar? There are hotels catered to partying college students, as well as bachelor/bachelorette parties.

If you’re looking to retreat to a peaceful accommodation away from the crowds, Put-in-Bay’s Bayshore Resort should be on your radar. I’ve stayed there twice in the past and I’m convinced that it’s one of the best places to stay in Put in Bay.

Bayshore Resort Review – The Location

Bayshore Resort in Put-in-BayIt is possible that you are further away than you thought. The southern ferry dock, but it’s close to many local attractions. You can walk to the downtown village, which has most of the bars, pubs and restaurants.

It’s also close to Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial, which is one tourist site that you’re going to want to visit. We also rode golf cartsFrom the hotel, you can travel all over the island. Put in Bay isn’t that big of a place, and you can easily ride your golf cart everywhere that you need to go.

Tip: If you’re going to be drinking, you can’t drive your golf cart. The golf carts in Put in Bay have full licenses. If you decide to drink, don’t drive – or you can get pulled over my the cops and get a DUI.

Yes, it will appear on your permanent record of driving! So, it’s a good idea to have a hotel within walking distance of most bars if you’re going to drink (and you don’t have a designated driver).

Review of Bayshore Resort, Put-in-Bay : The Property

The Bayshore Resort at Put-in-Bay has a large hot tub and a private swimming pool. The hotel is known for its swimming facilities.

If you stay in Put in Bay (or even visit for the day), every hotel has an outdoor pool that’s open to the public. Bayshore Resort and all other hotels except for that.

This hotel only allows its guests to use the pool, so it is never crowded with tourists. This pool was quieter than many others on the island.

There are tons of deck loungers to soak up the sunshine, and there’s a serene view of the lake just beyond the property. Bayshore Resort Put in Bay also has a tropical tiki-style bar where you can purchase drinks to enjoy at the pool.

Please be aware that Bayshore Resort does NOT allow guests to bring their own alcohol. This hotel caters to families and couples, and it’s a quieter retreat on the island. You can order drinks from the tiki-bar, or you can drink in the many restaurants and bars on Put-in-Bay.

Bayshore Resort – Our Room

We booked a double queen room at the Bayshore Resort. Justin and I initially wanted to book an up to six-person suite, as we were traveling with our friends. Unfortunately, the suites were all booked months in advance.

Be sure to reserve your room here early, especially if you’re planning to visit during the popular Christmas in July event in Put-in-Bay. We visited a week prior to Christmas in July, and in the middle of a busy week. Bayshore Resort, the nicest resort on the island, is still very popular.

Though the hotel’s decor looks a little outdated, it had all the amenities that we needed for our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom spacious with a big shower.

The fact that each room has a private balcony is one of the best things about the hotel. Each room faces back of the property, overlooking the swimming pool.

Every balcony is covered with a screen so you don’t have to deal with bugs or mosquitoes. The swimming pool, Lake Erie and the monument tower were all beautiful views.

Golf Cart Rentals On Site

The fact that you can use your smartphone is a great convenience. rent your golf cartDirectly from the hotel. You can decide on the day if you’d like to rent one, and you can borrow a golf cart for a half day or a full day.

We drove our golf cart all over town: to Perry’s Cave, the South Bass Island State Park, and even Kayaking is a great way to get outdoors. Then, at the end of the day, leave it at the front of the hotel and you’re already at your home for the night.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bayshore Resort, so much that I’ve actually stayed here on two occasions. It’s a great place to stay if you’re traveling with your family, friends, or as a couple.
