Provincial immigration results (July 27th – August 2nd)

British Columbia (B.C.

B.C. B.C. British Columbia Provincial Nominee ProgramThis week, BCPNP is celebrating its 10th anniversary.

The province invited at minimum 147 candidates via the Skilled worker, international graduate (includes Express Entry British ColumbiaOption stream. Candidates invited in this draw were picked for their education and ability to fill gaps in B.C.’s labour market.

  •  Inviting at least 147 top candidates – Skilled Worker, International Graduates (EEBC)

The cut-off score varied by industry within the (Provincial nominee Programs draw). These were as follows

  • To be invited, childcare workers had to score 89 or higher (33 invitations were issued).
  • Construction workers were invited if they scored at least 90. (27 invitations have been issued).
  • A minimum score of 101 was required to be invited (22 invitations have been issued).
  • The minimum score for tech workers was 120 (64 invites were sent),
  • To be invited, veterinary care workers must score at least 80 (at least one invitation is issued).

The Skilled Workers category is for international workers who have post-secondary training or education and relevant experience, in B.C., in professional, managerial, technical, trade or other skilled occupations. The candidate’s job must be classified under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) Training, Education, Experience and Responsibilities (TEER) matrix as skill level 0, 1, or 2.

Candidates applying for the Skilled Workers category must have a full-time, permanent job offer from a B.C. employer. Candidates must meet provincial requirements at the time they apply if the job offer is for a regulated profession that requires mandatory certification or licensing. Paid coop work placements will be accepted as experience if the placements were full-time, and had a NOC level that was equal or greater than the job offered.

Manitoba

This week the Manitoba PNPThe MPNP conducted two draws to select skilled workers.

Then you will have Fall in Five options Choose from:

  • Skilled worker in Manitoba Stream
  • Skilled Workers Overseas Stream
  • Manitoba Business Investor Stream
  • International Education Stream
  • Morden Community Driven Initiative

Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway

You must be interviewed by a representative from the MPNP as well as a Manitoba employer to be eligible for this path. These interviews are conducted outside of Canada. You must receive a Request to Apply before applying via this pathway.

Application Fee CAD $500

Processing Time: 6 Months

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be an international student or temporary foreign worker;
  • Must possess a valid work permit or post-graduation work permit;
  • Must have an offer of a permanent full-time position from their current Manitoba employer.
  • They must have worked for the same employer for at least 6 months.
  • Must possess all the qualifications required for this position, including any training/education or licenses/certifications;
  • Must be able speak English or French to fulfill the duties in their job description.
  • Must have a stronger connection to Manitoba than to any other province in Canada.
  • The Settlement Plan must demonstrate the ability and intention to live, work, and establish a family and work life in Manitoba.
  • You must have enough money (CAD 10,000 for the main applicant, and CAD $2,000 per dependent).
  • Your employer must operate a commercial business registered for at least 3 years.
  • Your working conditions must be the same as those of Canadians and permanent residents.

Skilled Workers Overseas Stream

The Skilled Worker Overseas Stream consists two pathways:

Manitoba Express Entry Pathway

This pathway is open to people who have an Express Entry profile and are eligible for another MPNP stream. These people must also have experience in an occupation listed in Manitoba’s List of High Demand OccupationsAnd have a strong relationship to Manitoba. Human Capital Pathway

This pathway is for foreign skill workers with experience in an occupation listing Manitoba’s In-demand Occupations.

Application Fee: $500

Processing Time: 6 Months

Minimum Requirements:

  • A score of 60 points out of 100 is required;
  • You must have a connection to Manitoba. This can be through friends and family living in Manitoba. Previous work experience or education within the province is also acceptable. Or, you may be invited to apply for the MPNP. There are different requirements depending on what type of connection you possess;
  • Must have a minimum of six months experience in an In Demand occupation
  • You must submit a Career Plan.
  • Minimum age is 18 years.

How it works

First, you must submit an Expression of Interest. This means that you will have to answer online a number of questions. Based on the answers you give; you’ll receive a score.

The candidates with the highest scores may be invited to submit an MPNP form.

If you are selected, you will be given a nomination by Manitoba. This nomination can be used to apply directly to the Canadian government for permanent residence visas for yourself and your family. You can use the Express Entry system if you are a candidate.

Category Is an offer of employment required? Additional Requirements
Manitoba Express Entry Pathway No. Must have a valid Express Entry Profile with a Job Seeker Validation code.Must meet minimum language requirements (CLB 6 or 7 for NOC A and NOC B).Must have sufficient money to last for six months.
Human Capital Pathway No. You must have completed a post-secondary course of at least one year. If the occupation requires certification or licensure, you will need to apply to the regulatory agency to assess your qualifications.

The first draw was conducted under a selection of occupations under the Skilled Worker’s in Manitoba stream. The draw issued 145 Invitations to Individuals whose NOC matched 44101—Home support workers, caregivers and related occupationsOr who fit into broad occupational category “3” (healthcare occupations).

On the same date, the MPNP held a second draw under the Provincial Nominee Program Skilled Worker Abroad stream. Candidates with a score of at least 724 are invited to apply for 58 invitations. Candidates must be invited by the MPNP. “Strategic Recruitment Initiative”To be considered in this draw

Of the 203 invites issued by the MPNP in the past week, 29 were sent to individuals who declared a valid visa. Express Entry profile.
