Even if there’s an increased referral bonus, the maximum number of Bonvoy points you can earn each year is 150,000. This means that under the standard referral offer, you’re able to refer up to 15 friends per year to reach this maximum limit.
The referral bonus is more generous, but also has a higher minimum spend requirement.
You are not allowed self-referral to another card. If you are a Bonvoy Personal Cardmember you cannot refer yourself to a Business Card. Amex may take back your points and remove you from the referral program if you do this.
