The Toronto Regional Real Estate Board’s REALTOR® QUEST 2024 took place at the Toronto Congress Centre on May 15th and 16th.

Those brave enough to stand in the long lines were rewarded with a conference full of insightful speakers, valuable insights and networking. Two full days were dedicated to seminars, panels and a speaker series featuring 20 notable speakers. REALTOR® QUEST also saw a return of its trade show; this year was another massive affair with over 200 exhibitors.

The 2024 Conference and Trade Show provided ample opportunities for professional and personal growth. It helped realtors, other real estate professionals and brokers with practical support while fostering meaningful relationships. This event is Canada’s largest real estate conference and trade show, with over 10,000 attendees, both Canadian and international.

The attendees were provided with a number of resources. The International District offered information on global opportunities for real estate clients, while the Learning Hub delivered information on TRREB’s tech tools, MLS® Rules and Policies, compliance, and best practices, provided by TRREBProfessional Development Specialists. Health Quest offers free health and wellbeing services.

The Honourable Doug Ford took to the stage on the 15th, addressing Ontario’s real estate market trajectory, touching upon key areas such as the influx of newcomers to the province and the promising growth of its economy.

Speakers

The TRREB REALTOR® QUEST was able to draw some major names for speakers, who presented to a packed house.

Keynote Speakers

Monty Moran was a dynamic and effective leader during his tenure as co-CEO of Chipotle. He led the company to unprecedented growth and prosperity. Moran’s leadership style is known for its focus on empowerment and team building. A former trial lawyer turned CEO, Moran’s journey highlights his ability to adapt and thrive in diverse professional environments.

His belief that ordinary people can make extraordinary contributions highlights how important it is to nurture talent and foster a supportive work environment. He inspired real-estate professionals to enhance their teams and drive results on the competitive real-estate market.

Martha Stewart is a treasure trove of information on everything “home” – which is critical for realtors to gain a better look into the minds of buyers and sellers. Seven out of ten American women are influenced in their home management, organization, and thinking by her.

Her extensive experience in the lifestyle industry and her accomplishments made her a captivating keynote speaker at the real estate conference. Stewart is the founder and CEO of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. She has over 99 best selling lifestyle books, an Emmy Award-winning TV show, and more than 99 best-selling lifestyles books. 

Jay Shetty’s biography is a testament to his remarkable journey of personal transformation and global impact. From graduating with honours from Cass Business School to spending three years as a Hindu monk in India and the UK, Shetty’s path is marked by a deep commitment to personal growth and service to others. His decision to combine ancient wisdom with digital media platforms allowed him to reach more than 50 million followers around the world, making him an influential voice for purpose-driven life and mindfulness.

Realtors benefitted from Shetty’s insights into making meaningful connections and building authentic relationships.

Speaker Series

Theresa Corindia has extensive experience working in the Real Estate Industry. She shared her insights. “Are You Ready for REALM™? Essential Steps for a Smooth Transition,”Her expertise in training and client success is a great asset.

Mary-Anne Gillespie has been the Real Estate Coach for seven of Canada’s top ten teams and has presented to them. “Embrace Challenge to Achieve Extraordinary Success”The following are some examples of how to get started: “Million Dollar Open House: Transforming Your Real Estate Career.”

David Greenspan, CEO of #MindShare101 is well-known for his expertise in sales and marketing. His presentation, “Every Day Excellence: Your Blueprint for Success,”Motivation and practical advice are provided.

Emily Leung is a TRREB Professional Developer Specialist. She has provided information on SkySlope and insight into the importance of continued education for real-estate professionals.

Daniel Lewis is an accomplished speaker and entrepreneur who shared his insights and journey on how to negotiate like a ninja with a human centric approach.

Bita Di Lisi, a licensed paralegal with a distinguished career, provided valuable advice on the complexities of buying and listing tenanted property, based on expertise in landlord-tenant relationships and property management.

With over ten years of experience as a property valuation consultant, Max Ma shared insights into enhanced assessment data and REALTOR® insights, and building successful client relationships.

Jason Mercer, TRREB’s Chief Market analyst, spoke about important trends in the market. Jennifer Nhieu, Senior Research Analyst with Altus Group and a commercial real estate expert, also shared key insights on Canadian market trends.

Sean Provencher, founder and CEO of Endgame Coaching explored the future for real estate agents in a world of AI-accelerated technology, offering practical strategies to succeed in the changing landscape.

Cliff Spicer was a TRREB Professional development specialist. He focused on “Creating a CMA in REALM™,”Ashley St John, a Professional Development Specialist, also shared insights on this area. Mark Weisleder is a senior partner of Real Estate Lawyers.ca LLP. He answered the most frequently-asked questions about TRESA and provided legal insights as well as practical advice.

Trade Show Highlights

The trade show exhibitor represented a variety of industries including real estate, insurance, finance and other related services for real estate professionals. Exhibitors from Canada and abroad came to share their expertise.

The event offered attendees the opportunity to network with professionals in a wide variety of organizations. Participants could network with top real estate agencies and brokerage firms. Information was provided by financial services and mortgage providers on mortgage trends, financing, and investment. Property management and home service organizations provided information about the wide range of products and services they represent. 

For a comprehensive opportunity to learn and connect, there were also booths that represented companies offering related technology and software, legal services, construction, development, educational resources, health and wellness and even consultancies. 

Year after year, REALTOR® QUEST provides value and unique opportunities to real estate professionals. It is still a major event, a gathering place and offers the most up-to-date information and updates about critical trends in the real estate industry.
