The place

A seven-bedroom woodland estate with seven bathrooms on a peninsula in Lake Muskoka. The place is an ideal escape for a large family that loves nature—given its 210 metres of waterfront, two-storey boathouse and lake views from every room. It’s a short drive to downtown Bracebridge and Muskoka Airport and a two-hour haul to Toronto.

The History

The owner of this cottage purchased the land that is now the site in 1999. Buyers can also purchase the entire peninsula, which includes three additional parcels of 8.3 acres land plus another two-storey house.

The tour

This veranda, with its bench swing, is one of many hidden hideaways along the flagstone pathway.

There’s nothing like tons of ancient rock and forest to give one a sense of place.

The boathouse is two-storeys high and has three docks.

The deck is an ideal place to host a lake party, especially with its built-in sound system.

And, finally, it wouldn’t be Muskoka without a few boats.
