This week, three provinces nominated candidates through their respective Provincial Nominee Programmes (PNPs).
Candidates were invited by the PNP to apply for specific streams based on past work experience and skills. Immigration streams are a specific path to permanent residency that can contain substreams. They often target a certain aspect of an applicant’s profile, such as their work experience or education.
Each PNP uses its own scoring system to rank candidates’ eligibility for immigration. These scores should never be compared between different PNPs.
Certains PNP streams are “enhanced” meaning that they align with the federal government’s Express EntryThe system will consider candidates who are in federal immigration pool.
Candidates in the Express Entry pool that receive a certificate of nomination from a PNP will earn an additional 600 CRS Points, almost guaranteeing them a place. Invitation to Apply(ITA) via Express Entry
