Ontario, British Columbia Manitoba and PEI nominated newcomers for provincial Immigration

This week, through their respective Provincial Nominee Programs, four provinces have announced nominations of candidates for immigration.

Candidates were invited via economic streams, which selected candidates based on education, employment and professional skills. Here is a breakdown by province of this week’s results.

Provincial immigration results for July 13-19th 2024

Ontario

This week the Ontario PNPThe OINP conducted four separate provincial immigration draws as part of its economic immigration streams.

The first draw took place under the Employer Job Offering: In-Demand skills stream. The OINP sent 265 invitations-to-apply (ITAs) in general to candidates with a score of at least 35.

On the same date, the OINP also held a drawing under the Employer Job Offer: International Students Stream. The draw was conducted in two parts. First, the PNP issued 424 invitations for candidates with a job offer and a score of at least 81 in a healthcare occupation. In the second draw (under the same stream), OINP sent 839 invitations out to candidates with a job offer. “other priority occupation”, with a minimum score requirement of 77.

The third draw took place on July 16, under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream. The OINP has issued five invitations for candidates who have qualified under the federal Economic Mobility Pathways program.

On the 18th of the July, the OINP organized an Express EntryDraw aligned to target, issuing 1,240 ITAs in accordance with the Express Entry: Human Capital Priorities Stream. The draw targeted candidates working in healthcare occupations with a minimum score of between 425 and 444.

British Columbia (B.C.

On July 16th, the British Columbia PNPThe BCPNP conducted five targeted draws in the Rahmen der International Graduate, Skilled WorkerStream (includes EEBC Option) The PNP targeted candidates with professional experience and minimum cut-off scores in different in-demand professions. At least 68 candidates were invited to an interview.

The table below shows the minimum scores for each type of draw.

  • Candidates invited in the childcare worker’s draw required a minimum score of 94 to be invited;
  • Candidates invited in the construction worker’s draw required a minimum score of 95 to be invited;
  • Candidates invited in the healthcare worker’s draw required a minimum score of 104 to be invited;
  • Candidates invited in the tech worker’s draw required a minimum score of 122 to be invited; and
  • Candidates invited in the veterinary care worker’s draw required a minimum score of 80 to be invited.

Manitoba

This week, Manitoba’s PNPThe MPNP held two separate draws for immigration under two different streams.

The first draw was held on July 18th. International Education Stream. The province invited 109 applicants who met the stream requirements.

On the same date, the MPNP held an under the Skilled Worker Overseas (SWO) stream. 52 candidates who declared that they were invited under the MPNP’s strategic recruitment initiative and had a minimum of 645 points received letters of recommendation to apply.

Of the 161 total letters issued in this week, 16 were sent to candidates with a valid Express Entry profile code and job seeker validity code.

Prince Edward Island

On the 19th July, the Prince Edward Island PNPThe PEI PNP issued invitations in two of its streams.

The PNP issued 84 invites under the LabourYou can also find out more about the following: Express Entry streams. Specifically, invitations have been sent to those in the healthcare, construction, and manufacturing sectors, as well as those with expired work permits (in the professional services and manufacturing sectors). International Graduate StreamThe work permit expires before the end 2024.

PEI sent out two invitations in the same day, under its Business streams.
