Malpuria has over 30 years of experience with the world’s largest film industry, India and has brought it to Calgary. He is a professional choreographer with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. His mediums include corporate training, music video choreography, and live dance performance choreography. Malpuria has worked with a number of reputable Bollywood artists and has choreographed live international concerts and worked as a director. He was excited to bring this experience to Calgary 20 years ago when he made it his home.

A.R. Rahman, the composer of Slumdog Millionaire and Michael Jackson’s opening act for his concert in Mumbai India. He and his partner were selected as the only Bollywood choreographers to present a team in front of Her Royal Highness, Queen Elizabeth II at the 2005 Alberta Centennial Celebrations in Edmonton.

It was also an honour for him to be bestowed the Queen’s Golden Jubilee pin in Calgary. In 2015 he received the South Asian excellence award for cultural icon. On November 19, he was awarded the South Asian Inspiration Award, which recognizes outstanding achievement in arts, culture, and entertainment. Malpuria is a fighter who has always been. But he became even more determined when his health began to deteriorate in 2015. He was placed on a transplant list for a new heart. On September 27, 2015, he was given a heart. He was able to regain his strength, and began to teach and produce events in the community.

Beyond his artistic talent, he is involved in youth engagement and cultural inclusivity. He also supports charities like the Canadian Transplant Association and Calgary SCOPE Society. He also supports the Canadian Red Cross and Kids Up Front.
