Vegan Restaurants In Regina: The Hampton Hub
The Hampton Hub is Regina’s 100% vegan restaurant. This was at the top of my list for restaurants to visit in Regina and it didn’t disappoint. The Mthembu brothers, Tiro Thabo and Mandla Mthembu are the owners of this restaurant. They strive to serve delicious food, while being eco-friendly and socially aware.
Fred Hampton was an activist and Black Panther member who inspired the brothers. They named their restaurant in his honor. The eatery also serves as a place for the community to meet and discuss important issues. The Hampton Hub hosts “Teach-in Tuesdays”Members of the community can learn from guest speakers on various topics.
The Hampton Hub also offers delicious plant-based meals. They’re always rotating their menu, with past features like tofu wings, sandwiches, soups, burritos, nachos and tacos. I was able to choose from a variety of pizzas when I ate here. My pesto pizza had toppings like broccoli and tofu feta, and it was one of the best pizzas I’d had in a while.
13th Avenue Food and Coffee House is a vegan restaurant in Regina.
13th Avenue Food and Coffee HouseThis long-established vegetarian-friendly cafe is located in Regina’s Cathedral neighbourhood. While it isn’t an entirely vegetarian and vegan restaurant, they’ve always been committed to offering a good amount of veg-friendly dishes on the menu for many years.
The menu is very easy to navigate, as all vegan dishes have a V. (GF stands for gluten-free, and N means it contains nuts). There are a number of veggie burgers. However, most are vegetarian and are not vegan. 13th Avenue Coffee is best known for its vegan bowls.
You can also choose from their rice bowls, noodle dishes or stews to get a hearty and healthy vegan option. I ordered the Lucky Bowl with peanut sauce, tofu marinated, tomato, cucumbers, bean sprouts and grated carrot. There’s also a sushi bowl, green curry, noodle bowl and sweet potato lentil stew. Next time, I’ll have to try one of those vegan chocolate raspberry cookies.

Bar Willow is located in Wascana Park and it’s known for having the largest deck patio in the city. It overlooks Wascana Lake and it’s a beautiful place to watch the sunset. On occasion, there’s live music to enjoy with your food and drink, though it’s a great spot any day of the week.

Abstractions Cafe: Vegan Restaurants in Regina
Abstractions CafeSince 2003, this restaurant has been serving delicious meals to the residents of Regina. This cozy establishment is located inside a house constructed at the turn of 20th century. Over the years, it’s been home to a residence, a recording studio, an art gallery, a music venue, and of course, a restaurant.
The Mitris are a Syrian family who immigrated to the United States and created Mediterranean dishes. A few of these dishes are naturally vegetarian/vegan. There’s hummus, baba ganoush, spinach salad, tabbouleh, grilled zaatar and a falafel wrap.
I paired the falafel wrap with spinach salad and a wildberry tea that was incredibly refreshing. I’ll have to try the katayef next time, as it is vegan. While not totally plant-based, this is one of the best vegan restaurants in Regina as a spot that’s always been quite vegan-friendly.

Their menu is written on a chalkboard on the wall and it will regularly change depending on what’s in season and can be sourced locally. I’d love to return to try a hummus wrap or one of their vegan bowls. I stopped in between breakfast and noon and ordered a coffee and dessert. This vegan chocolate peanut butter treat was rich and delicious. I recommend sharing it with your friend!
The M:eatingRoom: Vegan Restaurants In Regina
With a Name Like The M:eating Area, you’d never guess that this was a vegan restaurant in Regina. It isn’t entirely vegan, but it’s super vegan-friendly. Don’t let the fact that it’s located in a strip mall deter you either. The food was fresh and delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The menu offers two vegan pizzas: the loaded vegan and roasted vegan. Also, there are several veggie options for rice bowls as well as pitas and other shareables. There are also vegan ice-cream bars and pints in their freezer.
Vegan Restaurants in Regina: Victoria’s Tavern
Victoria’s TavernIt is one the best vegan restaurants in Regina. They have a large selection of vegan dishes on their menu. This is a great spot for a pint and perhaps a gathering with your vegan and omnivore pals as there’s something for everyone here.
Although they have two locations in downtown, their restaurant is housed within a building that has a unique past. This old bank was built in 1923 and still has the original vault as well as a charming wood interior.
The vegan options are indicated on the menu with a “p”For plant-based or “pbo”Plant-based option. I went with a vegan quesadilla, tater tots, and a Korean bowl. It was delicious. There’s also a veggie burger with vegan cheese, a Korean bowl, plant-based nachos, and even a vegan grilled cheese.
Breakfast Bistro
Breakfast BistroThe menu is filled with vegan options. The restaurant is Breakfast Bistro during the day and Luna Kitchen & Bar at night. Be sure to pair your meal with a hot or iced coffee, especially if you’re a coffee fiend like I am.
The tofu-shakshuka looked tempting, but I decided on the vegan Belgian waffle with fresh fruit. The waffles are served with oven-roasted potatoes. The meal was delicious and filling.
Skye Cafe & Bistro
Skye Cafe & BistroThis restaurant is located in Wascana, right next to the Saskatchewan Science Centre. Book a table if you can. This is a very popular spot. There’s dining both indoors and outside on the patio (I loved the patio on a nice day!).
This restaurant is focused on using fresh, local, organic ingredients. They also pay close attention to sustainability by reducing waste and lowering their carbon footprint. I’m also very pleased that they offer some vegan dishes, which are naturally kinder to the environment.
I would highly recommend the vegan black beans tacos. I thought they were delicious. There’s also a vegan Mediterranean bowl, avocado chilaquiles, and a roasted beet rainbow salad.
Fresh & Sweet
“If you are what you eat, then make it fresh and sweet!”Ah, I love the slogan! Fresh & SweetIt’s a charming breakfast and lunch spot in downtown Regina. I went there for breakfast, and was very impressed with the menu options. The vegan banana cookies were a tasty snack later in the day, but I can see many of you choosing one of the vegan pumpkin-scone scones.
I ordered the vegan bowl: peppers, green onions, mushrooms, tomatoes sautéed and served on some yummy hash with black beans, served with salsa. The salsa with the potatoes and vegetables was a great start to the day. The iced espresso was also very refreshing.
Craft Services by Crave
Craft Services by CraveThere is a small cafe and lunch counter within the MacKenzie Art Gallery. It’s a great place to grab a quick lunch after visiting the MacKenzie Art Gallery. The food is also delicious. Be sure to stop for coffee while you’re here.
I wouldn’t say that the avocado toast was anything too special as I had to remove some of the toppings (mainly the cheese) to make it vegan. However, the quinoa, black bean and corn salad was really flavourful and I’d order that one again without any hesitation.
Rebellion Brewing Co
Located in the heart of Regina’s Warehouse District, Rebellion Brewing Company has been an important part of Regina’s craft brewing scene since 2014. They offer everything from easy-drinking lagers to beer that is made from Saskatchewan-grown legumes.
In their taproom, Rebellion offers a menu of Mexican food prepared by Tropezon. While only the vegetarian items are marked as such, it’s easy to request for some of them to be prepared vegan. I tried the guacamole/salsa with chips, and three vegan tacos. Who knew a brewery was also one of Regina’s best vegan restaurants?
Brewed Awakening
Brewed AwakeningThis is a vegan friendly coffee shop. It offers a variety plant-based milks, and vegan treats on the counter. There are three locations in Regina, and one in Calgary. The original location is located on Prince of Wales Drive. I used to frequent that location as well as the one downtown.
BRWD Bagel only available at Prince of Wales. There’s a veggie bagel option where they’ll sub the cream cheese for avocado to make it vegan. Please note that BRWD Bagel’s downtown location is not BRWD Bagel. They do have a veggie sandwich there that’s vegan, but it isn’t on a bagel.
The Everyday Kitchen
The Everyday Kitchen is located in a great spot in Regina, within the same building as Dandy’s Artisan Ice Cream and the Mortise & Tenon eco shop. They also have a second shop in town. This is an amazing coffee shop that offers vegan food in Regina.
There’s a vegan bagel sandwich with smoked tofu and sundried tomato hummus. Some of the baked goods, too, are vegan. These aren’t marked as such, but just ask your barista. I had a vegan chocolate chip cookie that was delicious. Stop by for a coffee, a little bit of shopping, and then some vegan ice cream at Dandy’s next door.
Elle’s Cafe

Two of these are vegan-friendly and they’re usually the fruit flavours. I tried the pineapple watermelon twist and it was a tropical summer treat. Come in for a cool treat on a hot summer day.
Dandy’s Artisan Ice Cream
Dandy’s Artisan Ice CreamThe ice cream is made in small batches. They create premium, innovative flavours that you won’t find anywhere else. Of course, they have a great selection of dairy-free ice cream, otherwise I wouldn’t have included it in this “best vegan restaurants in Regina” guide!
When I visited the shop, there were five vegan flavors marked with a “V”: salted caramel chocolate brookie, honeycomb coconut, chocolate puffed-quinoa, Nanaimo Bar, and key lime pie.
They allow you to sample any ice cream that you’d like, so I tried all of them. The chocolate puffed-quinoa was the winner, even though they were all delicious. The chocolate ice-cream was perfect because of the crunchy bits!

There are a number of vegan desserts that have been marked as VG. Try their cheesecakes (blueberry, raspberry or chocolate), Ferrero Rocher cookie, lemon earl gray cookie or vanilla bean canelé. The Ferrero Rocher cookie was the one I chose and loved, though I don’t think you could go wrong with any of these options.
