Our 15 day vacation was filled with water views, great outdoor adventures and relaxation.  Colourful art, celebrations and colourful art added to the fun.  Every day, we enjoyed delicious food and drink.  We were treated to exemplary customer service, luxury accommodations and delicious food.

The Caribbean has a wide range of weather conditions

We left Toronto’s cold winter weather.  We left Toronto’s cold winter weather. Staying at the St Regis in San JuanThe sun and heat warmed up.  We didn’t have to deal with jet lag because we did not change timezones.  We were already jet lagged by the time we arrived at our destination. The weather was not kind to us in the busy port of Nassau.  The clouds began to gather.  As we returned to the ship, it began to rain.

The storm had already hit us by the time we docked at Fort Lauderdale.  Tornado warnings and severe thunderstorms kept us near the shore. Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale.  We watched the storm from our windows for four days and were grateful to be safely back on earth.  The cruises that left immediately after we landed weren’t so lucky!  On our last day in Fort Lauderdale, we finally had some sunshine and warmth.  This was not how we wanted to finish our luxury Caribbean vacation.

Stunning Water Views

We are water babies who always seek out the water when we travel.  We loved the pools on our trip. our first Ritz-Carlton Yacht cruise. We found some amazing views of the water on our cruise. Our stay in San JuanThe views from the beach at the St Regis Bahia Beach ResortWe booked this resort because of the many attractions.  When we visited, the sea water was a bit rough.  There were several pools in the resort which were a great alternative.

We were disappointed with the weather during our stay in Fort Lauderdale.  When the sun came out, we saw a new view of the beach.  During the storm, the hotel pool was closed.  As the winds ceased, we saw that it had reopened.

Our luxury Caribbean vacation was a big draw because of the stunning views.

Great Outdoor Experiences

When we went on vacation to the Caribbean, we found so many wonderful outdoor experiences.  Staying in San JuanThen, you can get in touch with us. St Regis Bahia Beach ResortWe found a wide range of water sports.  On the days we were there, the seas had been too rough.  

We enjoyed a guided tour of the property one day.  Our guide was able to show us some of the local flora and we learned a lot.  We stopped at the Rio Espiritu Santato and saw the El Yunque National ForestOff in the distance.  We will certainly return to San Juan to explore the vast tropical rainforest.

You can find out more about this by clicking here. our Ritz-Carlton Yacht cruise, our excursion in Virgin Gorda  in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) took us for a land tour first.  We saw the Island from different viewpoints.  We then boarded. Bell AroseA catamaran tour of Virgin Gorda from the water level.

We booked a snorkeling day trip to Jost van Dyke on another cruise port day.  We wanted to go scuba-diving.  We could not arrange a scuba diving excursion on the ship and did not know how to do it ourselves.  We loved the underwater views when snorkeling. “ok”.  But it was still incredible to go back under water.   

The best things we found on our first Ritz-Carlton Yacht experienceThe large Marina deck was located at the back of the vessel.  The ship could be anchored at sea, and a variety non-motorized watercraft were available.  We enjoyed the water by taking out two pedal kayaks.

Fort Lauderdale, also known as the Lauderdale, is a popular tourist destination.  “Venice of America”.  We had hoped to do a canal tour when we returned from our cruise in Fort Lauderdale.  We were disappointed when bad weather hit and didn’t clear until we were almost ready to leave.

Fun And Colourful Art 

We always searched for bright and colorful art when we traveled.  We found a lot of great things to admire as we traveled around the Caribbean during this vacation.  We laughed at the welcome posters in the airport of San Juan.  We were amused by the colourful houses as we drove to the airport. We were greeted by a colourful and fun sight when we arrived at Fort Lauderdale.  Then we discovered more colourful pieces of artwork as we wandered.

Enjoying Fun Celebrations During Our Luxury Caribbean Holiday

We went on our luxury Caribbean holiday just before Christmas.  When we arrived in the St Regis Bahia Beach ResortWe knew immediately that the holiday season would be here.  We saw holiday decorations everywhere we looked.

Celebrate the celebrations at the St Regis Bahia Beach ResortWe found the traditional sabrage display when Visited the St Regis Rome.  Every night, the butlers demonstrated how to remove the cork from champagne bottles.  Then we filled our glasses with bubbly.

After starting in a beautifully-decorated St Regis Bahia Beach ResortWe were surprised to find so few holiday decorations onboard the ship in San Juan. Ritz-Carlton Yacht Evrima.  We Travelling for the Christmas seasonOn other cruises I noticed that the ships were decorated very early.  One day, we received a reminder in our coffee cup.

We found a few holiday decorations in the store. Ritz-Carlton Yacht EvrimaOur Caribbean cruise was not devoid of other special celebrations.  The En Blanc party included a white-clad buffet and music.  Havana night celebrations were much more colourful.

Tasty Food And Drink

We knew the food would be amazing when we visited a luxury destination.  Breakfast is a big part of every day.  

On our trip to San Juan, we tried some local favorites like the sandwich which required two hands to eat.  We also indulged in a pizza by the swimming pool one day.

Stuck at the top Ritz-Carlton Fort LauderdaleWe were able to enjoy the delicious food at Burloak Coast Restaurant in the hotel for four days due to bad weather.  When the sun finally appeared, we found the perfect salad for summer!

On both resort stays, our suites were stocked with a bottle of fine wine.   Onboard the Ritz-Carlton Yacht EvrimaThe cruise fare includes most drinks.  While not big drinkers, we sure did not pass on the bubbly – also known as “Ritz Water”.

We ate well on every part of our luxury Caribbean holiday.

A luxury Caribbean vacation was made up of two great resort stays, a luxury cruise and two resort stays.  It was a perfect way to end Travelling is a big part of the year.
